The sun sets at its earliest time as the old year draws to a close.
Things have been quiet for a while but there will be plenty more to write about in the New Year, so check the Dambusters Blog regularly. In the meantime, all best wishes for Christmas and the holiday season. Please stay safe, be respectful to our fellow human beings and the earth itself, and hope that we will all be able to meet again in 2022.
Happy Christmas and New year to you too Charles. Let’s hope things improve in 2022.
Many thanks for your very kind words Charles. May I wish you and all your readership a peaceful Christmas and here’s to a vastly improved year ahead!

Thank you for your kind message. As the end of the year approaches we tend to look back on it. I can do this with great affection having been among the super people of Lincolnshire ( Bomber County) I was thrilled when I visited the center in September. It means a very great deal to me as I passionately think of these men and women of the RAF. So much so I would loved to have been with them and experienced all the comarardy. Visiting the International Bomber Command Center helps me in that way. So a very merry Christmas to you all. Keep up the good work. See you all next year. Bomb gone leader. Dave King. Lancashire.
Hi all. I am Peter Turton in Cape Town and my uncle Ronald Turton DFC was pilot with the standby squadron for the dam raids. Love following your posts and all the best from and old RN sailor.

Happy New Year to all, my Dad was the Chief Bomb Aimer on the Dam Buster Raid. Bob Hay.
And a Happy New Year to you too when it arrives Denise. Wow, you must be SO proud to have such a well respected, and well-known in dambusting terms, father such as Bob Hay. He was another of the important master characters without whom the raid could not have succeeded. RIP Bob Hay.
Happy New Year to you also and thank you for all you do, it keeps all these men alive.
