Plaques for three Dambusters unveiled

Crowds turned out in three separate parts of the UK last week as the childhood homes of three men who flew on the Dams Raid were honoured with plaques to mark the 75th anniversary of the raid.

    My name is Pete Townsend, I’ve heard that Bill was my great uncle, I now live after serving 9 years with the Royal Artillery I’m Menden Germany… only minutes from the Möhnesee damm.

    I often visit in on my motorbike… and am very proud to know that I’m part of the history…
