    Jenny

Your uncle is one of my heroes and not forgotten here in the land down under. As a child of 1940 I was made aware of the courage and skills of those who took part in the air war of WW2. The events of 17 May 1943 and 617 Sq. are long remembered here and is the stuff of legends.

In my home here I have a Robert Taylor print of Mick Martin (Flt. Lt.) making his run in to the Moehne Dam. Mick would have known your uncle of course- what a great generation they were.

Kind regards, Bruce James Sydney, Australia
